Charlotte Ramsey has a nice life laid out for her. She's getting married in a few weeks, but a certain excitement is missing from her life. Her goal is to have a comfortable life with children and a nice husband, but comfort alone can’t spark the flames of romance deep in her heart. Damien Wynter, after a chance encounter on a boat, may be the raging inferno of passion that'll ignite those flames…but should she play with fire? She may just get burned.

The Billionaire Scandalous Marriage Harlequin comics eBook EMMA DARCY Emiko Inoue

In my humble opinion, the author spent too many time talking about how great the heroin felt about her ex-fiance, so you have to question her feelings for the hero. Just not believable. From the get go I was bored with the heroin's whining. She was like 'Mark is wonderful, Mark is the only man who understand me' and bla bla bla, so how could we buy that her sudden feelings for Damien were genuine, sincere or even honest?
Seriously, the author's decision to spend pages, telling us how the heroin was ready to defy her father and family for her ex because he was the only man understanding her, was tiresome. Did she want readers to feel a type of connection between Charlotte and Mark instead of Charlotte and the hero? I just couldnt feel chemistry between the hero and the heroin. I felt fooled and want my money back.

The Billionaire Scandalous Marriage Harlequin comics eBook EMMA DARCY Emiko Inoue Reviews

I do agree with the other reviewers. Cheez-ball way to spell Wynter is number one, & the "dance off" was really hokey. This is not Ms. Darcy's best work for sure. Charlotte was great at whining for sure. I couldn't believe how patient Damien was! This is not one to spend your money on, just borrow it from your local public library. It's what I did so it wasn't a waste on my resources. The book that follows this though, Billionaire's Captive Bride is much more charming and an all around better read. It's about Charlottes brother Peter so if you want to know what happened to him, she did write a book about him.
I've given 6 of ED stories 5 stars and one other got a 4 star but this is barely ok. It was rushed, unrealistic and a most annoying alpha. Damien is just as smarmy and conniving as suck-up Mark, which makes it difficult to connect to him. Especially as he is endlessly cornering/trapping Charlotte. But I did like the 'under duress' pre-nupt scene - Charlotte finally sees why her family can't stand Mark and all hell breaks loose after that. The poker game was a good laugh - Charlotte is quite the surprise heroine.

I had to push myself to finish this story which is embarrassing because EM has the most books in my library, but not this one. So I'm gonna put it aside, read it again in a month or so, and we'll see if my reviews changes
Didn't appreciate heroine acting as if all she wanted was to fulfill one wish; nevertheless, it worked out in the end and I suppose that's all that matters.
loved it all over again!!!
Very interesting and amusing reading
I loved the H and the way he treated the h. Wonderful book deserving 5 stars. Emma Darcy never lets me down..
I give a lot of leeway with these books, after all this is about the happy ever after, but there was little to redeem this one with. The characters in this book are terrible, especially the female lead. I think the author is attempting to show her as a strong and confident woman, but she comes across as hard, belligerent and unpleasant. The main male character is marginally better. The first time they had sex was a turn off. The author even describes their behavior as animalistic. I didn't enjoy this book and I don't recommend it.
